Raptors, such as owls, hawks, osprey, falcons, harriers, vultures and kestrels-offer an effective, natural pest bird control solution. By providing simple devices like nest boxes and perching posts you will attract raptors which hunt both starlings and robins.

Different raptor species have different nesting preferences. Barn owls and kestrels both nest in cavities and will use nest boxes. Install boxes on sturdy poles or buildings, at least 10 to 15 feet above ground and ensure the entrance faces away from prevailing winds. Avoid placing boxes near heavy human activity.
